The location
TMP records sound on location - for The Location
An interesting example of how we work with sound together with filmmakers is 'The Location', which was a unique collaboration between Gothenburg Film Festival and the Gothenburg Central Station. It is a relay film where five filmmakers were given the chance to tell their story, and their films are intercut with one another.
The common denominator is the setting; the Gothenburg Central Station.
TMP worked together with the film crew and had total responsibility for the sound. We recorded the sound on set, processed the sound, recorded complementary sounds, dubbed dialogue in post and mixed the sound for the five films.
One of the main challenges was to make sure that the sound would sound uniform throughout all five parts of the film. We found it to be a very interesting project here at TMP!
