Voiceovers in Swedish
The Swedish languages is spoken by approximately 10 million people. It's the official language in Sweden and one of the two spoken languages in Finland. People in the Nordic countries can often understand each other as the Swedish, Danish and Norwegian languages have much in common. Together they are spoken by 20 million people.

Here at TMP we often record so called Rikssvenska (neutral Swedish).
Our client ask for neutral accents in order for the voice recording to suit all markets. However, we have also seen that the trend for recording different Swedish dialects increases. The Swedish language has many dialects and it can be divided into seven major areas.
From the South to the North there are: sydsvenska mål, götamål, gotländska mål, sveamål, bergslagsmål and norrländska mål. Moreover, there are Swedish dialects in Finland: östsvenska mål or finlandssvenska (Finland-Swedish).
